Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced API Integration Specialist to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API design, development, and integration, with a focus on building robust, scalable, and secure solutions. As an API Integration Specialist, you will work closely with various teams to connect different systems and ensure seamless data flow across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain APIs to integrate various systems and applications.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand integration requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Implement best practices for API security, performance, and scalability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all API integrations.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and operation of integrations.
Continuously monitor and optimize API performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in API development and integration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in API design, development, and integration.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Laravel, React JS.
Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs, as well as API management tools.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with API testing and monitoring tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, Apigee).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
Prior experience in a similar role within a tech-driven organization.
